Emotional Intelligence

Our emotions influence the way we act and react to situations especially in the workplace. Understanding what and how you feel can be a determining factor in how it impacts the people around you. In this programme, participants will practice the emotional intelligence skills necessary to achieve personal awareness, manage stress, engage in healthy conflict and collaboration, while connecting and sustaining relationships with others and building resilience and optimism.

Session 1 Outcomes:
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of emotional intelligence
• Differentiate between Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
• Make the link between mental models and current thoughts, attitudes and behaviors
• Value one’s perception, sources and impact
• Insights into the EQ –I 2.0 report

Session 2 Outcomes:
• Begin to interpret the EQ-I 2.0 Assessment and its implications
• Demonstrate a deeper understanding of the fifteen (15) skills required to develop emotional intelligence
• Internalize the steps and processes which must be undertaken to strengthen emotional intelligence
• Value the power of acceptance, openness and choice in the process

Session 3 Outcomes:
• Continue to develop/reinforce the fifteen (15) skills required to develop emotional intelligence
• Have a clearer understanding of the EQ-I 2.0 Assessment
• Develop a Personal Action Plan based on needs identified in the EQ-I 2.0 Report and based on insights gained during sessions

General Audience. This training is also ideal as part of a leadership development programme and can be tailored to meet specific goals.
